Celebrating International Women's Day

Employees across all of Wells Fargo’s international regions were encouraged to celebrate International Women’s Day (IWD) by wearing purple.

This year’s theme was #EachforEqual, highlighting that an equal world is an enabled world.  First celebrated in 1909, this movement commemorates the struggle for women’s rights, acknowledging not only how far things have come but the continued need to press parity issues.

In line with the theme, Wells Fargo continues to actively challenge stereotypes, fight bias, broaden perceptions, improve situations and celebrate women's achievements.

At Wells Fargo all employees can join the Women’s Team Member Network. The network provides opportunities for women to feel valued for their skills and talents, recognises contributions of women, assists in providing a forum for the development of mentor/mentee relationships and other ongoing professional development opportunities. The focus is on education, encouragement and influence. Each Chapter hosts a schedule of local events and programs that engages and supports its members.

Wells Fargo’s Team Member Network (TMN) program is an important part of our commitment to building a diverse and inclusive culture.

There are eight networks across Wells Fargo, open to all:

  • PRIDE
  • Asian Connection
  • My Generation
  • Black/African American
  • Native Peoples
  • Diverse Abilities
  • U.S. Veteran
  • Latin
  • Middle East
  • Women

TMNs are the place for team members to connect, leverage, learn and build their skills. Team members are encouraged to join multiple TMNs outside of their identity group to increase mutual awareness and understanding across difference.
