Hear from Ramon at Wells Fargo

Ramon: My name is Ramon Hough, and I'm a participant and experience consultant. I work in the retirement planning department. And we create materials that help people plan for retirement.
Well, it was my sister, actually, who recommended that I start here at Wells Fargo. And I really didn't expect to end up staying at Wells Fargo for as long as I have. I thought it would be just a few months, but it's turned into about 14 years. And really, the reason for that is that there's just so much opportunity here at Wells Fargo. It's such a large company, which just allows for so much growth, so much learning, and the ability to meet so many creative, talented, and interesting people.
When people think of banks, they think of checking accounts, savings accounts, mortgages, but there's a lot more to it. And the department I'm in is retirement planning. And again, a lot of people don't know much about it and it's hard to get started. And we try to come up with the best ways possible to reach people, to teach people, and to eventually help them get into a position where they can save properly for retirement. So I feel like the education side, the attempts at trying to understand an audience and try to reach an audience, that's what I like best about the role.
