Ashlyn: I started off in triage in the original Financial Intelligence unit. So I would determine if a case would be potentially suspicious and I would divvy those out to the investigators.

[Visual: Ashlyn walks through the office and talks on her cell phone.]

Ashlyn: I think it was that feeling on 9/11 that we were just completely helpless. And I felt like that this was my contribution. I moved into an investigator position and I actually worked the cases and from that point forward, I found that I wanted to do something a little more complex, which is how I ended up in Special Investigations. I had no prior experience. All I had was a passion and a willingness to learn, and they taught me everything that I needed to know.

[Visual: Ashlyn meets with other member of the team.]

Ashlyn: I am able to go in and sift through the transactions and find things that the media is reporting and give that back to law enforcement. So the job as a whole, it’s just extremely rewarding and I love what I do each and every day.
