Hear from Kelli at Wells Fargo

Kelli - I'm Kelli Carlson. I'm a senior business initiatives leader at Wells Fargo Innovation Group.

My role is to work with different lines of business on engagement and collaboration strategies. I never imagined myself working at Wells Fargo for a bank. I didn't realize how diverse and wonderful the people here working for Wells Fargo were going to be, let alone the technology I was going to be working with. I started with a startup internet company back in the '90s and found Wells Fargo and an opportunity that I never thought I'd see myself going into.

One of the most rewarding projects that I currently am a part of at Wells Fargo is an internship program that we do with the Year Up nonprofit group that helps the urban youth throughout the United States. We offer internships to these individuals after they go through a program at Year Up. And they're with us about eight months.

So currently we have eight interns with us presently that my group is leading. And we're organizing them in a fashion that can help the Innovation Group. So they're working on everything from robotics, technology, getting experience that they would have not had perhaps in a retail outlet store. The great news after that, we actually hired two of those interns this last quarter. And they're now working with us full time within the Innovation Group.
