Hear from Lauren at Wells Fargo

Lauren: My name is Lauren Shea. I'm an audit manager with Wells Fargo audit services. I am responsible for managing multiple audit engagements at the same time through the planning, fieldwork, and the reporting phase.

I lead a team throughout that process, so that means planning an audit of a line of business where we develop the scope, identify the key risks, what are the controls and the processes management has in place, executing the field work where the staff come in and actually test these controls, identify any observations or issues, and then the reporting phase. So I will review the audit report, review any observations, and review work papers, meet with business partners and discuss what we're finding and communicate results to audit management.

What gets me excited to come to work is the people I work with. I've stayed with Wells Fargo for eight years in the audit department, and really the main reason for that is it's not only the work, it's the people and the boss that I work with.
